Les Légendes R
The Lafite Rothschild family has been producing wine in Bordeaux since 1868. For six generations, they got to know this beautiful landscape and understand the unique traits of the vines from each appellation. Three decades ago, the family was inspired to create a new wine series, where each wine would be the epitome of the appellation it came from. Their motivation was simple – to ensure wine lovers everywhere could dive into Bordeaux and taste the originality of each appellation. And so, the Les Légendes R range was born.
The vintage
The 2022 vintage is widely regarded as a remarkable vintage in Bordeaux.The year was marked by a hot and dry climate, but cool nights helped preserve the natural acidity of the grapes. The 2022 wines stand out for their remarkable balance: optimal ripeness, freshness supported by preserved acidity, silky tannins and fresh, persistent fruit aromas. This vintage naturally ranks among the great vintages for ageing.

Tasting
Deep garnet colour.
The nose is fine and delicate, combining notes of black berries (blackcurrant and blueberry) with aromas of cinnamon, cocoa and tobacco.
On the palate, the wine is well structured, rich and smooth, with ripe tannins and a finish marked by fruit and spice.
